The Lions of Fifth Avenue- Fiona Davis

A masterful, page-turning whodunit. This novel marries the stories of two women seeking passion, purpose, love, & independence, in their own rights, linked not only by their passion for literature but also by their lineage. Our protagonists are connected by two series of book thefts at the New York Public Library ranging eighty years apart.

The Lions of Fifth Avenue will appeal to book lovers who recognize the power the written word holds.

So much more than initially meets the eye, the layers of this story are incredibly unforeseeable and intriguing. I was enthralled from start to finish, racing through the pages for pieces of a transfixing puzzle. Pieces I didn’t even know I was looking for.

Davis hits all the marks. The Lions of Fifth Avenue is part historical fiction, part feminist history, and part nail-biter
that ultimately boils down to a story of family and love.

I am so inspired by these characters and their fortitude and bravery to forge their own path despite meeting unbelievable objection.

In short, this is a must read that you won’t want to miss.
